John's Bio
Some Distant World is the creative vision of John, a lifelong artist whose passion for art began at an early age. Born in Dallas, Texas, in 1962, John discovered his love for creating as a child and has spent decades exploring a wide range of artistic mediums and techniques.

Today, he lives in Tucson, Arizona, where he continues to create original metal artwork for collectors, businesses, and public spaces

John’s artistic journey has included many forms of creative expression. Throughout his career, he has worked on murals, themed environments, haunted attractions, decorative gates and doors, faux finish painting, furniture projects, photography, and even fossil and dinosaur egg restoration.

These experiences helped shape the artistic perspective and craftsmanship that define his work today.

Over time, John found his true passion in metal art. His portfolio now includes custom sculptures, decorative wall hangings, chess sets, steampunk creations, fish sculptures, and large-scale artistic installations.

His work blends imagination with technical skill, resulting in pieces that are both visually engaging and expertly crafted.
